Welcome to the Scottish Roadworks Register System

This website provides a real-time interactive display of current and planned works on the roads throughout Scotland. It should hold the details of all works being undertaken by utilities and many works undertaken by Councils. With the introduction of further legislation in 2008, it will contain all works on roads by the Autumn of 2008.

This public information service is operated and managed by Symology Ltd on behalf of Susiephone Ltd. Susiephone Ltd was established by representatives of Roads Authorities and Statutory Undertakers in Scotland. Appointed by the Scottish Executive as the ‘Keeper of the Scottish Road Works Register’, Susiephone Ltd is responsible for maintaining the Register of all operations relating to road works.

This service fulfils local authorities obligations under e-government legislation (Priority Outcome G14) to publish roadworks information on the web. It also provides a facility for Local Authorities and Utilities to coordinate the management of works with neighbouring authorities, other utilities and any other agencies, as required by the forthcoming Transport (Scotland) Act.
